WHAT IS ECE VOICE?

We are campaigning for fair pay for early childhood teachers. Teachers in the early childhood sector have the same qualifications, skills and experience as kindergarten, primary and secondary school teachers. But they get paid between 9-49% less. This isn’t okay. We are asking the government to deliver with an immediate pay jolt of 11% and a stepped out pay plan. We need you to support to fix the pay gap in early childhood.  

What does ADDING MY VOICE mean?

Adding your voice is the first step you can take to support early childhood teachers. You are adding your voice to support an immediate pay jolt and a stepped out pay plan for ECE teachers.

By adding your voice, you also agree to receive updates on our plan to get early childhood teachers paid fairly and other ways you can be involved in the campaign.

What ELSE CAN I DO TO SUPPORT EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHERS GETTING FAIR PAY?

Spreading the word about fair pay for ECE teachers is a great place to start, whether it be sharing ECE Voice on your social media or having conversations in your communities. If you’re a parent at an ECE centre, now might be the perfect time to talk to the owners of your centre about whether they want to support the campaign.
